Patience is an abstract watercolor painting composed of broad, translucent forms that gather and overlap across warm tan paper. Deep green and blue-gray anchor the composition, while passages of pale pink, peach, and luminous yellow create shifts in temperature and visual weight. A concentrated magenta form and small, unexpected marks punctuate the softer washes, while areas of untouched paper create openings between the larger shapes. Variations in transparency, pooling, and softened edges preserve the immediacy and fluidity of the watercolor process.
