Poets is an abstract watercolor painting composed of soft, translucent passages of green, burnt orange, pink, and sienna. The colors spread and overlap across the white paper, shifting between diffuse washes and more concentrated areas of pigment. Open areas of paper create space between the forms, while irregular edges, pooling, and subtle changes in transparency preserve the fluid character of the watercolor process.
