Differences in ink density give each shape a distinct surface—from the comparatively solid red to the finely broken, granular texture of the lighter passages—allowing the physical transfer of the monotype process to remain visible.
The Rainshadow series takes its name from the Mojave Desert’s position in the rain shadow of the mountain ranges surrounding it.
