Ecotone concentrates its activity where distinct fields meet. Deep green and yellow move through the center between broad areas of brown and burgundy, while vivid orange, pink, and blue appear along their boundaries. Rather than forming clean divisions, the colors press into, overlap, and interrupt one another, creating a series of active edges. The composition turns these transitional spaces into its primary structure, suggesting an environment defined as much by exchange between neighboring territories as by the territories themselves.
