Erosion

$400.00

Erosion explores the space left behind as material is gradually worn away. Two substantial fields of deep burgundy and earthy brown rise along opposite sides of the composition, enclosing an irregular passage of exposed paper. Sweeping marks of muted rose and sienna cross the upper edge, while softer lavender, pink, and mineral tones gather below. Narrow flashes of golden yellow interrupt the darker perimeter, and broken, granular textures soften the boundaries between the forms. The luminous central opening becomes a record of absence, suggesting the gradual removal and redistribution of material.
