Sediment holds movement and settlement in a state of suspension. A broad field of turquoise and mineral blue occupies one side of the composition while ochre, rust, charcoal, and pale yellow gather more densely along the other. Between them, a narrow blue-violet passage descends toward an open area of paper, while fine granular marks spread across the surrounding fields like particles caught in the process of settling. Changes in density and texture give the work a sense of material accumulating, dispersing, and gradually finding form.
